Digital purchases are tricky to refund cleanly, but we'd rather have you confident in your spend than locked into something you didn't want. Here's exactly when a refund is available and how to get one.
We want every customer to feel confident in their purchase. Refunds are available on the following one-time charges, requested within 7 days of the original transaction:
A monthly subscription, if none of the Rocket Coins it granted have been spent on services.
A one-time Rocket Coin purchase, if none of those coins have been spent on services.
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe and typically settle within 5 to 10 business days.
Quarterly and annual subscriptions. These cadences are priced at a discount in exchange for the up-front commitment, so they're non-refundable. If you want to leave room to change your mind, the monthly cadence is the right choice.
Renewals. Only the first purchase of a given subscription qualifies. Subsequent renewals are non-refundable, but you can cancel auto-renewal at any time from your dashboard to prevent the next charge.
Rocket Coins that have been redeemed for a service. Once you click Redeem and we begin or deliver the service, the coins for that order are non-refundable. Coins you haven't redeemed yet remain eligible under the rules above.
Service redemptions themselves. Services are delivered immediately or by hand by our team, so the coin cost of a redeemed service can't be reversed.
Charges older than 7 days. After the 7-day window we close the order for refund eligibility. If you have a serious concern outside that window (a service we never delivered, a duplicate charge, a billing error), email us and we'll work with you in good faith.
For eligible orders the easiest path is the self-serve flow:
1. Sign in and open your Orders page at /dashboard/orders.
2. Find the order and click Request Refund. The button only appears on orders that pass all the eligibility checks above, so if you don't see it, the order is no longer eligible.
3. Confirm the refund. We immediately call Stripe to reverse the charge, mark the order as Refunded, deduct the granted Rocket Coins from your balance, and remove any tier role that came with the order.
For anything that doesn't fit the self-serve flow (you can't sign in, the button isn't showing, you believe the system is wrong, or you have a question about a non-refundable charge), email [email protected] and we'll respond within 1 to 2 business days.
If something looks wrong on your statement, please email [email protected] before filing a chargeback or dispute with your bank. We're a small team and we resolve almost every legitimate billing concern within a couple of business days. Filing a chargeback without contacting us first costs both sides money and almost always leads to a worse outcome than just asking.
A chargeback filed in good faith on a real problem is fine and you won't be penalized for it. Chargebacks filed in bad faith (for example, after the service was clearly delivered and you used it) may result in account termination, forfeiture of any remaining Rocket Coin balance, and a permanent ban from the platform, and we will dispute them through Stripe.
EU and UK customers: under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and equivalent UK regulations you ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital purchases. By completing a purchase at Rocket HQ you explicitly request immediate access to the digital content (Rocket Coins are credited to your balance and subscription features are unlocked at the moment of payment) and you acknowledge that this waives the 14-day withdrawal right. This is the standard arrangement for in-platform virtual currency and digital subscription services.
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer protection law. If your local law grants you a stronger refund right than the one described above, that stronger right applies.
Email [email protected]. We typically reply within 1 to 2 business days.
